Requiem for a Tooth
It is sad, but true... #21 committed suicide... the prolonged, drawn-out kind. Heaven knows how long this has been going on.... maybe years.... It started as a small black spot a year ago

and yesterday culminated in the (semi-)atraumatic removal of said #21 (lower left, behind the incisors, in front of the molars, the bicuspid.

I asked the nice lady at the front desk to call over to the hospital across the parking lot and ask the chaplin to come over to do a requiem for the tooth.
She thought I was kidding.
I now resemble trailer park trash of the unhealthy kind.

So, did you get anything special (besides a hole) for your rotten tooth????
OMG. You just gave me heart palpitations. A couple of months ago, I paid $1080 to have a molar with a cracked root pulled under general ansthesia. Some years back, I had paid close to 2K for root canals, a crown and periodontal work on said tooth and I just couldn't bear any more torture. Knock me OUT!
Can't they put in a temp bridge in about 6 weeks? At least you wouldn't be toothless for Christ-Moose.
Hang in there. Been there, read the book, bought the T-shirt. [shudder::sigh]
