I went into the sewing room on Thursday to iron a shirt for work only to discover that the iron had been sitting on the sewing table in the ON position (and not just on but ALL THE WAY ON-SUPER HOT-WOOL SETTING) for approximately....
THREE WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This I discovered the day after the electric bill arrived and had spiked by $30.
Hmmmm......
Some days I amaze even myself.

Good grief, Girlfriend!
Get thee a new iron. For the last coupla decades, irons have had automatic switch off sensors and turn themselves OFF if they haven't been moved in 15 minutes!
